At both ends of Sixth Street in Mamou, bands were performing for the big pre-Mardi Gras party and street dance Monday night. Photos of Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band and Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys were taken between about 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Live music at bars like the world famous Fred's Lounge was also going full blast.
